Sweet and sour veg, feeling fancy.

Image
Went to Aldi, brought some sweet and sour sauce, feeling fancy. Got some fancy veg. Let's do this.  Things I used: onion, pepper, mushrooms, sugar-snap-peas, baby corn, sweet and sour sauce, rice, saucepan, frying pan. Start cooking the rice,  Chop the mushrooms, onion, baby corn and pepper.  Fry the veg, until lovely,  Add the sweet and sour sauce, be nicely surprised that it has some pineapple, and bamboo shoots in.  Leave to heat through and make it go all nice and good.  Put some rice in the bowl, then put some sweet and sour veg on top.  Enjoy its lovey.  Lovely feel the health.  My phone has been dead for a while, so this is why there's been nothing in ages as haven't been able to take good photos, but am back now, not that anyone cares.

Potato and fried egg.

So hungry but can't be bothered at all. Things I used: potato, egg, season-all, salt pepper, oil, ketchup, frying pan. Heat some oil,  Chop the potato into lots of tiny pieces, add to the pan.  Leave to fry until getting soft, sprinkle with seasoning and salt Keep frying until starts to go a bit crispy,  Put the potato on to the plate,  Put some more oil, then fry the egg.  Yum breakfast.  Fried potato and a fried egg.

I've gone wrong, noodle soup.

Been generally very tired and hungry today. After my lecture, I came back with the full intention of doing work and getting my life together. Instead, I had a nap and while still sleepy decided to make a noodle soup in the completely wrong order. I think it was inspired by the "Build a Ramen Bowl and we'll tell you what exotic pet you should have" quiz. I got the hedgehog. Things I used: saucepan, noodles, spinach, vegetable stock, sweet potato, onion, egg, soy sauce. I put the noodles in the pan and covered with boiling water. Left until they were nearly cooked and realised I didn't want plain noodles.  I added vegetable stock and a bit of spinach.  Then I chopped the sweet potato and added it to the pan At this point, I realised this is not the order a person makes soup.  I had committed so sliced an onion and added to the pan.  Contemplate if boiled onion is a thing and add an egg. Why not? It's not gonna be a thing anyway.  Put some soy sauce on....

Back at uni, Roast veg and rice.

Been a while since I have cooked, feeling a bit ill and stressy so cooking a wholesome meal, roasted veg and rice. Things I used: sweet potato, tomatoes, onions, oil, rice, season-all, saucepan and roasting tin. First I peeled and chopped the sweet potato, felt like switching it up so I cut it into slices.  Sliced onion into thin bits,  Put all the sliced veg and whole tomatoes into the tin. Splashed a bit of oil over the top. (we're running out so not enough) Sprinkled the season-all and put the tin in the oven. Started the rice (again not enough oil so hope it doesn't burn on again) Leave it all to cook eat some skittles and worry about the path your life is taking.  Have missed being domestic will be sad when daffodils are over
